On September 16, the year 1958. Jennifer Tilly was born in Los Angeles in extremely substandard conditions. Her mother, a failed schoolteacher and actor, made a living selling automobiles while her father was an automobile salesman. Jennifer was the second child in a four-child family, was often at her mother's performance in the theater and extremely impressed. Jennifer's mother and father divorced at the age of five. Jennifer was a part of her childhood at British Columbia after her mom relocated there with the other four children. Jennifer was not a scholar however, as a child she was a talented artist. Due to her experiences in Canada's public schools, Jennifer became the object of much bullying. When her enthusiasm for theatre was fading as she entered high school, she began taking part in shows with her mother. All of her children were motivated by their mothers to follow their passion for the arts. Her immediate response was to take actions.
